Datameer today announced the release of Datameer Cloud, a new self-service enterprise Big Data Analytics tool combined with Azure HDInsight for an all-encompassing cloud experience. The solution is fully managed by Datameer, offering Big Data as a Service (BDaaS), giving users a “one-stop-shop” to integrate, compare, analyze, visualize and operationalize data of any size, type or data source.
Aligned with Microsoft’s Azure HDInsight, Datameer aims to help organizations looking for the agility to meet new business requirements with their data. Companies can start using Dataameer’s complete Big Data Analytics tool in a matter of hours, without the time and cost of implementing hardware and software infrastructure, requiring IT resources, or having to find individual Hadoop skills.
Datameer’s self-service functionality and complete workflow combined with Microsoft’s enterprise-class Hadoop distribution lets business analysts immediately start analyzing data and producing results. No additional hardware, technical staff or administration costs are required, which reduces total cost of ownership. Datameer Cloud includes a quick start program from their team of experts to help users rapidly deploy and train employees right out of the box.
Datameer Cloud is a multi-tenant environment which includes Data Protection and encryption. It sits atop Microsoft Virtual Network infrastructure, where data is encrypted and end-user transmission access is provided through secure https. Datameer provides security and data masking features that can be applied before data is consumed in order to meet compliance requirements. Access is provided through role-based user access with permissions and sharing features to foster secure collaboration.
Datameer’s CEO Stefan Groschupf concludes: “The next step in breaking down the barriers to Big Data Analytics so anyone can use it is to provide a way for businesses to get up and running almost immediately without the distraction of the technical infrastructure. With an all-in-one Big Data Analytics cloud service, businesses can now immediately focus on delivering value to their customers, partners, and shareholders, knowing that they have the best technology available in their arsenal.”
