Accenture Acquires Alfa Consulting to Expand its Supply Chain Capabilities

Accenture, a global professional services company, has announced its acquisition of Alfa Consulting, a consultancy specializing in operations strategy across capital-intensive industries. With this acquisition, Accenture will reinforce and expand its supply chain capabilities in Spain, México, and Portugal. Alfa Consulting’s consultants will join Accenture’s Supply Chain & Operations function and help clients improve their customer-centered supply chain segmentation, procurement transformation, resilience stress testing, end-to-end supply network visibility, and sustainable supply chain strategies.


Anaplan Announces its Acquisition by Thoma Bravo

Anaplan, a cloud-native business performance orchestration platform, recently announced that it’s entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Thoma Bravo, a software investment firm. The all-cash acquisition is valued at approximately $10.7 billion at $66 a share. Thoma Bravo will use its experience and resources to help Anaplan accelerate its strategy, grow its platform, brand reputation, and time to value, and attract and retain new customers, employees, and partners. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2022, and upon completion, Anaplan will become a privately held company.


FinancialForce Launches a New Financial Planning and Analysis Solution

FinancialForce, a provider of business applications for finance, service, and customer success teams, has announced the launch of FinancialForce Planning, a new and “all-in-one” platform for financial analysis and planning. The new solution will equip users with a single, connected platform for controlling their planning processes, building what-if scenarios, promoting enterprise-wide collaboration, avoiding departmental silos, understanding historic business performance, and accelerating company-wide decision-making and growth. FinancialForce Planning is available now.


Pega Announces the Release of Pega Infinity 8.7 and Introduces New Features to its Software Suite

Pegasystems has revealed details on the newest edition of Pega Infinity, a software suite designed to help businesses create workflows, deploy apps, and develop better experiences for customers. The latest version, Pega Infinity 8.7, introduces new applied AI, automation, and modern cloud-based architecture functionalities. With 8.7, Pega Infinity users can monitor customer engagement, create industry-specific “micro journeys,” use historical data to predict customer needs proactively, and utilize the redesigned Robot Studio to develop bots in less time. Pega Infinity 8.7 is available now.
