Centrify Now Offers Mobile Application Management for BYOD

With the Bring Your Own Devices (BYOD) phenomenon on the rise IT is starting to realize that these devices are also carry applications. So much so that folks are starting refer to these programs as Bring Your Own Application (BYOA). This is something that Centrify clearly understand which is why the Unified Identity Services company has released “a set of integrated capabilities enabled by the Centrify Cloud Services platform that delivers secure, enterprise-class mobility with integrated application Single Sign-on (SSO) to improve security and increase workforce productivity in the enterprise.”

The troubles with BYOD and BYOA occur because there is a lack of visibility, control and tracking of devices and back end applications due to the fact the company does not own either. A unified approach needs to be taken in order to ensure security and compliance for sensitive corporate data while taking advantage of mobility. Centrify’s new release does that by going beyond traditional Mobile Device Management and incorporating a “comprehensive Mobile Application Management (MAM) and “Zero Sign-on” for browser-based applications and rich mobile applications, addressing the IT and user challenges surrounding “Bring Your Own Device” (BYOD) adoption and the explosion of cloud-based apps.”

Centrify for Mobile 2013 includes new capabilities such as Mobile Authentication Services (MAS), Mobile Application Management (MAM) and Mobile Container Management (MCM); as well as updates to current MDM functionalities. Click here to read the full release.
