Accenture Acquires Allitix, Expanding its Integrated Enterprise Planning Capabilities
Accenture has acquired Allitix, a consulting and technology company that specializes in Anaplan solutions and offers capabilities in financial planning, financial analysis, sales performance management, and supply chain management. The acquisition will help Accenture continue to strengthen its connected planning capabilities by using Anaplan’s capabilities to help organizations standardize planning practices across business functions. As part of the acquisition, 73 employees—including over 60 Anaplan functional and technical professionals—will join the Accenture Technology team in North America.
CloudBolt Software Details its Partnership with CloudEagle.ai
CloudBolt Software, a “Cloud ROI Company,” has announced a strategic partnership with CloudEagle.ai, a SaaS management and procurement platform. As part of the partnership, CloudEagle.ai will integrate its automated optimization and governance capabilities with CloudBolt’s cloud cost optimization platform. This will help organizations reduce SaaS licensing-related inefficiencies, ensure continuous cost optimizations with minimal human intervention, and unlock greater returns on their cloud investments.
Epicor Debuts New Analytics Tools for Parts Manufacturers
Epicor, a global provider of industry-specific enterprise software, has announced several new analytics tools that will provide parts manufacturers with in-depth, actionable visibility into market demand and performance metrics. These analytics tools, showcased at AAPEX 2024, offer new capabilities for monitoring brand performance, tracking part demand by vehicle age, and analyzing unit sales metrics. The updates also include the full integration of Epicor Catalog for Automotive with Epicor Vision, enabling customers to access Epicor Catalog for Automotive from their existing workflows.
FlowForma Launches an AI-Powered Copilot Assistant
FlowForma, a process automation solution provider, has launched FlowForma Copilot, a new feature designed to “fast-track” process automation initiatives. With this AI-powered process automation assistant, process builders can create workflows faster than ever and reduce the time it takes to design and configure processes. The Copilot uses Agentic AI to respond to instructions with suggested process steps. Once it learns how to tailor itself to each user’s needs, the tool can build working processes in seconds by drawing from its knowledge base of processes.
Gartner Releases its Inaugural Magic Quadrant for Service Orchestration and Automation Platforms
Analyst house Gartner, Inc. recently released the inaugural edition of its Magic Quadrant for Service Orchestration and Automation Platforms, identifying thirteen of the marketplace’s most effective service orchestration and automation platform (SOAP) providers. The researchers behind the report—Hassan Ennaciri, Chris Saunderson, Daniel Betts, and Cameron Haight—evaluated each listed vendor’s strengths and weaknesses and ranked them on the signature “Magic Quadrant” graph.
HCLTech Announces Plans to Open an AI/Cloud Native Lab in Singapore
HCLTech, a global technology company, has created a new Singapore-based AI/Cloud Native Lab. This will be the company’s fifth addition to its global network, joining other labs in the US, UK, Germany, and India. It will be supported by EDB and will focus on helping enterprises in the region accelerate their AI initiatives through the use of HCLTech’s integrated AI and GenAI offerings. The Lab, expected to open in 2025, will also partner with Nanyang Polytechnic and Singapore Polytechnic and collaborate on nurturing young talent and mid-career professionals in the AI market.
QAD Redzone Releases a Suite of AI Capabilities for Frontline Workers
QAD Redzone, a connected workforce solution for the manufacturing sector, has launched Champion AI, a suite of AI-driven capabilities to empower frontlines with predictions, recommendations, enhanced productivity, and proactive problem-solving. Champion AI provides predictive and prescriptive analytics through generative AI to help users in manufacturing address daily challenges. For example, it can detect plant-wide outliers, predict run durations, deliver operational summaries, analyze performance data, automate productivity data collection, and identify potential run problems before they happen.
