Anthropic also released a dictation tool for Claude. However, this feature is currently not available in the new desktop apps. On iOS, Android, and iPadOS, users can record and upload a message up to 10 minutes in length to have Claude transcribe and respond to it. To be clear, this isn’t a conversation mode. Dictation is more akin to sending a voice message.

LinkedIn said the AI assistant is now live with a “select group” of customers (large enterprises such as AMD, Canva, Siemens and Zurich Insurance among them). It’s slated to be rolling out more widely in the coming months. The platform was always an early adopter of AI in its back end — (somewhat creepily) folding AI techniques into its algorithms to produce surprisingly accurate connection recommendations to users, for example.

Microsoft GitHub Expands Beyond OpenAI
GitHub, which Microsoft acquired in 2018, said in a statement Tuesday that developers will be able to power the GitHub Copilot Chat feature with Anthropic’s Claude 3.5 Sonnet model or Google’s Gemini 1.5 Pro model, as alternatives to OpenAI’s GPT-4o, if they choose.
MinIO Announces New Optimizations and Benchmarks for High-Performance AI
MinIO’s work leveraged the latest Scalable Vector Extension Version (SVE) enhancements. SVE improves the performance and efficiency of vector operations, which are crucial for high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning and other data-intensive applications.

SAP Enhances Embedded AI Across SuccessFactors & HCM Suite
SAP also has launched the SAP SuccessFactors Career and Talent Development solution, a fully integrated offering, which combines the robust features of the SAP SuccessFactors Succession & Development solution with the SAP SuccessFactors Opportunity Marketplace solution, powered by skills data from the talent intelligence hub.
Securiti Announces New Gencore AI Tool
The solution, according to Securiti, borrows its homegrown data security and compliance capabilities to deliver a generative AI maker that addresses the control and governance challenges faced by similar tools while handling enterprise data for building smart in-house models.
