Cisco is expanding its Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA to combine Cisco networking, NVIDIA AI infrastructure, and Supermicro rack-scale compute with security and resiliency controls across the AI stack. Glean Expands Its Enterprise AI Platform With Desktop Agents, Cost Controls, And Threat Detection

At its Glean:GO conference, Glean introduced Glean Tau, an upcoming desktop workspace that combines its enterprise context layer with local files, applications, code, and current AI models to execute multistep work. The company also expanded model-routing and usage-governance capabilities, added collaborative AI features and interactive dashboards, and previewed context-aware detection of agent behaviors such as data harvesting or exfiltration; Glean says its internal benchmark showed an 81% reduction in token costs versus Claude Cowork.

Nasuni has acquired DryvIQ, adding AI-powered content discovery, classification, sensitivity detection, and automated governance to its unstructured-data platform. Sophos Finds Identity Compromise Behind 85% Of Education Ransomware Incidents

Sophos’ State of Ransomware in Education 2026 report found that identity-based techniques—including malicious email, phishing, compromised credentials, and brute-force attacks—were involved in 85% of ransomware incidents reported by education organizations, versus 79% across all sectors. The study of 226 affected IT and cybersecurity leaders also found that 58% of education ransomware attacks resulted in encrypted data, average recovery costs reached $2.26 million, and 26% of organizations needed one to three months for full recovery, strengthening the case for identity security, integrated detection and response, and tested backups.
