Clumio Releases Clumio Discover for Backup Optimization and Visualization

Clumio Inc. has announced the availability of Clumio Discover, a cloud backup optimization engine that delivers enhanced reporting and deeper visibility into the current and historical status of AWS backups. Clumio Discover addresses a pain point among cloud-first enterprises: the lack of real-time, accurate visibility into the organization’s data protection and compliance status. The new cloud backup optimization engine delivers global visibility and actions to optimize existing data protection plans independent of the data protection solution an enterprise uses.

Clumio provides Software as a Service enterprise backup. Through this secure service, enterprises can eliminate hardware and software for on-prem backup and avoid the complexity and cost of running third-party data protection software in the cloud. The vendor’s data protection solution, RansomProtect (released in late 2020) provides an air-gapped and immutable backup platform that protects data regardless of what cloud in which it resides. The solution also provides immutable storage, end-to-end encryption, multi-factor authentication, and meets ISO 27001, PCI, AICPA SOC, and HIPAA certification and compliance designations.

Clumio Discover is also an addition to Clumio Protect, the industry’s first secure air gap backup solution as a Service platform for the public cloud. Clumio Protect, which was recently released on the AWS Marketplace, and Clumio Discover together provide organizations with the information and insights needed to ensure their data is protected and compliant in the public cloud.
