Presentation: How to Write an IT Disaster Recovery Plan

This slideshow, courtesy of the insightful professionals at Databarracks provides the steps companies should take when writing an IT disaster recovery plan. According to the company: “Having a well-designed and thoroughly tested plan in place will substantially increase your ability to withstand, and recover from, disruption. We’ll share with you the methods, exercises, tools and expertise needed to create a plan that works when you need it most.”

Recovery software is definitely crucial, the failover environment must be stable, and your connectivity must be reliable, but these are just supporting components. Without a plan, these tools can be thrown out the window.

Databarracks was recently included in Gartner’s new Magic Quadrant for Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS). Click here for our reaction to that report.
