SentinelOne Publishes The State of Cloud Ransomware in 2024
SentinelLabs has identified a Python script on VirusTotal that we call RansomES due to the Spanish language comments in the code. RansomES is designed to run on a Windows system and search for files with the extensions. The script then provides the actor with methods to exfiltrate the files to S3 or FTP, and then encrypt the local versions.
Tyrell Partners with Storj
Together Tyrell and Storj are advancing distributed cloud solutions to accelerate the future of the media and entertainment industry. Storj increases the value of existing media workflow investments, making them faster, more global and more sustainable by leveraging spare storage space and GPUs available around the world.
Veeam Enhances Data Cloud Vault
Veeam collaborated closely with Microsoft to develop this enhanced offering integrated with Azure Blob Cool Storage. It simplifies data storage management for backups and eliminates unpredictable cloud cost models, providing users with the confidence to securely store backup data in a Veeam-managed, logically air-gapped, always-immutable and encrypted offsite location for enhanced protection and reliable recovery, when needed.
VDURA Upgrades Data Platform Storage OS
The VDP software introduces VeLO (Velocity Layered Operations) and a VPOD (Virtualized Protected Object Device) concept. VDP is deployed as discrete microservices, simplifying deployment across thousands of nodes and helping ensure linear performance scalability with an infinitely expandable global namespace.
