Alteryx Research Finds Business Context Remains a Major Enterprise AI Bottleneck
Alteryx’s 2026 IT Leader Research finds that 53% of organizations struggle to translate business context—such as rules, definitions, and operational knowledge—into the systems and workflows their AI relies on, even as investment continues to rise. While 77% of IT leaders say this context is essential to accurate and relevant AI output, the gap between knowing that context matters and operationalizing it is keeping many AI initiatives from becoming reliable, scalable business capabilities.

Databricks Brings Electric and WASM Postgres to AI Agent Sandboxes
Electric is joining Databricks to bring PGlite, a lightweight PostgreSQL database compiled to WebAssembly, and real-time synchronization technology into AI agent sandboxes. The combination extends Databricks’ Postgres capabilities from Lakebase into the browser, device, or sandbox where agents run, giving each agent low-latency local state while syncing distributed changes back to a central Lakebase Postgres system so teams of agents can share current context without duplicating work or relying on stale data.

The company says its platform observes work across roles, systems, and applications to give AI agents the operational context they need to navigate complex processes, identify automation opportunities, and act from enterprise-specific reality rather than generic assumptions.

Editors Lens: Why Data Products Are the Missing Link Between Data Trust & Enterprise AI by Tim King
As organizations build AI-ready data architectures, simply storing, integrating, and governing information is no longer enough. Enterprise data must also be packaged, documented, owned, and delivered in ways that make it easy for both people and AI systems to discover, understand, and confidently consume.
