WATCH: Setting Up Docker on Windows, Mac, and Ubuntu


Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last two years, (or similarly, you’re operating a fully on-premise IT infrastructure) then you’ve heard the hype surrounding Docker and Linux containers writ large.

Lately, it seems like there’s some new hype heaped on Docker’s shiny new containers every day. This “lightweight virtualization” is DevOps’ silver bullet, or so we’re told. But despite all that we hear about Docker, its acquisitions, its funding, and its integrations, it can be difficult to find out how to get started using the actual product.

Luckily, Docker has recognized the dearth of learning materials available and has stepped to the plate themselves with a broad range of video tutorials on their YouTube channel.
