Dell Boomi has announced new additions to its flagship Integration Platform as a service (iPaaS) offering. The announcement, which was made at the company’s annual user conference, brings feature enhancements to its Boomi Connect Now, Boomi Data Services for Pivotal, Boomi API Gateway and Developer Portal, Bot SDK and Professional Service tools. New Boomi Connect Now functions are the highlight of this news, and allow partners and select customers to provide a centralized self-service offering for users who don’t have experience with data integration.
The cloud integration capabilities are being unveiled as part of a new product roadmap for the company. Boomi is taking aim at user experience for integrators of every skill level. The vendor is also planning to incorporate AI and machine learning into a greater share of its integration software. Community Intelligence capabilities feature 20 TB of metadata and is included in every aspect of the Boomi platform.
The Boomi API Gateway helps organizations facilitate secure and scalable interactions with external parties, while the Developer Portal allows customers to engage more broadly with API consumers. Enterprise Innovation Services is a professional services offering that enables enterprise organizations to work directly with Boomi experts. The solution provides a package of integration services, support and resources. Customers can also partner with Boomi’s architecture experts via Architectural Services.
In a statement to the media, the company’s Chief of Product Steve Wood said: “iPaaS is no longer just about integration, it is about pervasive connectivity and business transformation. If a business simply emphasizes the ability to integrate, then it is only focusing on a piece of the puzzle. Boomi offers an iPaaS platform that delivers transformation by connecting people as well as data. The iPaaS of today will not be the iPaaS of tomorrow and it is Boomi’s vision to redefine the market in order to provide the best integration cloud technology to our customers and partners.”
