Fivetran Debuts Fivetran Transformations with in-Warehouse Data Change

Fivetran recently unveiled Fivetran Transformations, a new product that brings fail-safe data transformations to the company’s automated data pipeline solution. The tool will enable data teams to execute SQL when new data arrives or on a schedule, and represents an extension to the company’s 100+ pre-engineered data connectors. Transformations features everything needed to orchestrate SQL-based transformations in the data warehouse, effectively putting an automated transformation tool inside the warehouse.

Fivetran offers a data replication platform with standardized schemas. The product requires no coding or maintenance, and pre-made connectors adjust to schema changes automatically. Pipelines can be set up in as little as five minutes by authenticating your sources and data warehouse. Users can trigger automated transformations via a modern and scalable computing infrastructure without configuration as well.

The product ensures that data is protected and available should a restore be required. It integrates directly with Fivetran’s automated data platform solution and touts simplified management of the entire pipeline. There’s also a handy logging and notification system that makes reporting easier and enables teams to hasten the process of diagnosing and resolving issues.

The new Fivetran transformation tool is the ideal companion to our data pipelines. It allows our users to solve complex problems without wrangling infrastructure so you can focus your efforts on creating insights for your business.”

Snowflake warehouse customers can trial Fivetran Transformations now. Support for additional database and warehouse destinations, including Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift and Microsoft Azure will be available soon.
