Menlo Security and VMware Partner to Deliver Mobile Malware Protection
Menlo Security and VMware are joining forces to help users defend against mobile malware, ransomware, and phishing attacks, according to a press release on Menlo Security’s website. The companies announced that Menlo Security’s Global Cloud Proxy Platform is now integrated with VMware Workspace ONE, the vendor’s unified endpoint management solution.
With the VMware integration, Global Cloud Proxy can help users protect mobile devices from ransomware and phishing attacks by isolating threats in the cloud and preventing them from reaching the endpoint. The platform separates mobile devices from the public web while providing unrestricted access to the Internet. The solution also provides granular visibility and control of mobile users, data, and applications.
In the official press release, VMware’s chief technology officer for end-user computing Shawn Bass stated: “Mobile isolation is becoming a critical part of the modern security architecture as it provides an additional level of defense against threats as part of a broader Workspace Security initiative. Bringing Workspace ONE UEM together with Menlo Security mobile malware and phishing prevention capabilities provides a solution that maintains an engaging employee experience while maintaining a superior level of enterprise security.”
Further, Menlo Security’s co-founder and chief product officer Poornima DeBolle added: “We are excited to partner with VMware to bring to market a solution that eliminates malware and phishing attacks on mobile devices once and for all. Delivered through the cloud, the integration makes it simple and easy for VMware Workspace ONE UEM customers to add isolation for every mobile device anywhere in the world.”
