GoodData Unveils New Set of Data Integration and Modeling Features
GoodData recently announced a new set of self-service data integration and modeling capabilities to improve access to business intelligence. The feature suite includes CSV Modeling and Cloud Data Warehouse Modeling and leverages GoodData’s web-based Logical Data Model modeler within the platform. CSV Modeling is available as part of GoodData’s freemium offering while Cloud Data Warehouse Modeling will be available later in 2020. GoodData unveiled new analytical geo-mapping capabilities in June.
The GoodData platform provides creation, delivery, and automated management of analytics at scale that allows organizations to deliver insights to customers, partners, and other users. GoodData is designed to support any analytical product roadmap and enables customers to offer their partners any data source, visualization, interaction pattern, or integration they need. The tool offers analytics and expertise to operationalize intelligent decisions within business applications and business processes.
CSV Modeling lets users create or prototype a data model from multiple CSV files that are stored in Amazon S3 or uploaded manually. Cloud Data Warehouse Modeling will enable customers to create data models using a cloud data warehouse as the source. This, according to the provider: “simplifies and improves cloud data warehouse integration as everything can be done through an easy-to-use, drag-and-drop UI instead of doing multiple manual steps in different environments.”
The new drag-and-drop UI for data modeling data from either Cloud Data Warehouses or CSV files simplifies the process for loading, integrating, and analyzing data.
In a media statement about the news, GoodData CEO Roman Stanek said: “These self-service capabilities are designed to lower the barrier to entry, speed the time-to-value, and unlock business intelligence insights for more companies.”
Solutions Review named GoodData a Vendor to Know in Embedded BI in September.
