Dell Boomi recently announced an updated version of its Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) solution. The new offering enables organizations to integrate data across applications in hybrid IT environments of cloud-based and legacy on-prem systems. Boomi customers will now be able to build a more connected business at scale, with new feature enhancements to increase user productivity, accelerate implementation and provide full control of integrations.
Released in 2007, Dell Boomi’s iPaaS solution now supplies more than 5,000 customers with Application Integration, Master Data Management and API Management in a unified platform. According to the company, the release includes more than 200 new features. High priority upgrades include:
- User Experience Enhancements: Enhanced UI to offer improved guidance and assistance for users throughout the platform, including expanded search functions and embedded help
- Boomi Connectors and Application Integration Accelerators: Expanded list of connectors for popular applications and cloud services, and its set of configurable technology connectors for common types of integrations
- Data Governance and Security Feature Enhancements: Aimed to ensure compliance, Boomi adds capabilities that allow for more effective governance of data across the enterprise. Capabilities include historical reporting, custom data stewardship role creation, and certificate management
