Fivetran has announced its acquisition of Teleport Data and the release of Fivetran Teleport Sync, according to a press release on the company’s website. Fivetran Teleport Sync makes database replication simple like snapshots so data is easier to access across organizations. The product moves only the changed data without requiring access to secure binary log files and will be available later in 2021. Fivetran added OEM embedding to its Powered platform in April.
Fivetran offers a data replication platform with standardized schemas. The product requires no coding or maintenance, and pre-made connectors adjust to schema changes automatically. Pipelines can be set up in as little as five minutes by authenticating your sources and data warehouse. Users can trigger automated transformations via a modern and scalable computing infrastructure without configuration as well.
Fivetran Teleport Sync features timestamp columns to indicate changes or primary keys on illogical tables. It also offers a code-free method to set up historical analysis and captures all data without highly customized scripts. The solution improves throughput without needing network engineers or extra query analysis as well. In addition to Teleport Sync, Fivetran has introduced a number of other database replication enhancements like history mode.
In a media statement on the news, Fivetran CEO George Fraser said: “We are prioritizing the development and acquisition of new replication technologies so that Fivetran is the most robust and easy-to-use data pipeline solution in the market. I became acquainted with Teleport Data through a dialogue in a Slack community. We were discussing the challenges of data validation, and I was presented with a method that had not been previously considered. It proved to be a very innovative invention and it will serve our customers well.”
