Matillion has announced the release of a new Software as a Service data integration solution called Matillion Data Loader. A free offering, The Matillion Data Loader enables data analytics and business users alike to load and migrate data. The product features a code-free, wizard-based pipeline builder for replicating data from popular data sources into a cloud data warehouse. Data Loader also lets you monitor jobs with a dashboard view of pipeline runs and data volumes. Matillion unveiled the tool at AWS re:Invent 2019.
Matillion offers data integration software for cloud data warehouses, and was designed for Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, and Google BigQuery. The product works by allowing users to consolidate large data sets and quickly perform data transformations. It features expert technical support as well, all by Matillion solution architects and comes free of charge. Full support is offered throughout the customer lifecycle, including trial and complex use case development.
Matillion Data Loader can be used by itself to perform cloud data migration and data loading processes. The solution can also be used in conjunction with Matillion ETL to transform data for analytics, reporting, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. In a press statement, Matillion’s CEO Matthew Scullion spoke a bit about the tool: “Matillion Data Loader works by itself to deliver low-friction data loading but also works with Matillion ETL as a platform to join and transform data sources for analytics. This is a far better option than having to choose between solutions that are either quick and simple or functional and complex.”
Matillion raised $35 million in Series C round funding in June, bringing the UK and Colorado-based company’s total earned to $60 million since its founding in 2011. Learn more about Matillion’s plans for the future, as well as how it will use the new funding to invest in engineering in the company’s blog (authored by Scullion).
