Research and advisory company, Gartner, Inc. recently announced the 2018 Peer Insights Customer’s Choice for Enterprise Mobility Management Suites. Gartner states that Enterprise Mobility Management Suites “provide policy and configuration management tools for applications and content, based on smartphone operating systems… [IT Leaders] are using mobility management suites to deliver IT support to mobile end users and to maintain security policies.”
Up to seven vendors could receive a Customer’s Choice Award. To be recognized on this list, vendors had to meet a set of criteria. The vendor must have at least 50 published reviews, as well as an average overall rating of 4.200 stars or more. The vendor also must have one product, at minimum, that is deemed relevant to the market by Gartner analysts.
Executive vice president of Products and Services at Gartner said in a press statement, “Gartner Peer Insight Customer’s Choice is designed to help IT professionals make better purchase decisions by leveraging knowledge and feedback by fellow verified end users. We work hard to ensure that all of the reviews are submitted by an IT professional or business user who has had experience purchasing, implementing and/or using the enterprise solution they are reviewing – free from conflicts of interest.”
This year, three vendors received Customer’s Choice Awards. Jamf took first place, receiving an overall score of 4.6. Jamf also received the most reviews out of the three vendors. In second place, with a score of 4.5 was Cisco. Google came in third place with a score of 4.4.
Jamf’s product, Jamf pro, is dedicated to Apple mobile device management. Cisco’s Meraki Systems Manager provides centralized cloud management for iOS and Android devices. G Suite from Google offers Bring Your Own Device capabilities on both Android and iOS.
