MobileIron has announced its acquisition of mobile automation app release software company incapptic Connect, according to a press release on the company’s website. Through the acquisition, MobileIron users can take advantage of incapptic Connect’s solutions to develop and deploy secure mobile business apps. This news comes a few weeks after MobileIron began offering free unified endpoint management (UEM) resources to frontline responders working to combat COVID-19.
With both companies working together, the two will support an automated application distribution model for clients. incapptic Connect automatically validates that mobile applications meet publishing requirements either internally or to a public app store, automating the publishing process along the way. Then, MobileIron UEM distributes the app to managed devices and automatically updates them to ensure users always have the most secure version.
In the official press release, MobileIron’s CEO Simon Biddiscombe stated: “We are excited to welcome the incapptic Connect team into the MobileIron family. As companies grow their digital workplaces, particularly in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is increasing pressure for IT teams to develop and deliver customized apps in the shortest time possible to ensure productivity. incapptic Connect has built a great product that enables companies to efficiently develop and quickly distribute customized mobile business apps at scale.”
incapptic Connect’s founder Dr. Rafael Kobylinski added: “We are excited to join the MobileIron team and to help enterprise customers more quickly and securely embrace mobile app innovation. The process of developing and delivering customized apps has largely been fraught with complexity and wasted time. The combination of incapptic Connect’s software with MobileIron UEM helps enterprise customers simplify the app release process, increase security and drive business ingenuity.”
