NAKIVO Announces Backup and Replication Update

NAKIVO recently announced an upcoming update to its NAKIVO Backup and Replication product for the first half of 2018. Currently in beta, version 7.4 features improved performance in data protection, reliability, and recovery in cloud settings.
With NAKIVO Backup and Replication v7.4, customers will have access to automated VM disaster recovery which will give customers the ability to perform VM failover jobs, such as network mapping. In addition to this, v7.4 offers instant file recovery to source. This service allows customers to immediately retrieve data off of VM backups.
The new tool also provides bandwidth throttling. While data protection is important, it can often take up considerable bandwidth. With this feature, customers will be able to control how much bandwidth is being used for backup and replication.
NAKIVO Backup and Replication will supply customers with self-backup services. Self-backup can back up the system configuration automatically, allowing customers to restore the product configuration and carry out planned system migration instantly.
In addition to the above features, NAKIVO Backup and Replication v7.4 offers enhanced AWS EC2 instance backup, instant recovery for Hyper-V VMs, screenshot verification for Hyper-V VMs, Global search, log truncation for Microsoft SQL Server 2017, instant object recovery for Microsoft SQL server 2017, and built-in chat with technical support.
On this announcement, CEO of NAKIVO, Bruce Talley stated, “We are excited to introduce great new features in v7.4, which were driven by the customer feedback. The new version of NAKIVO Backup and Replication further automates VM data protection in VMware, Hyper-V and AWS environments.”
