Top Featured Speeches from CloudNativeCon | KubeCon 2017

Top Featured Speeches from KubeCon CloudNativeCon 2017

KubeCon / CloudNativeCon is one of the top cloud and containers events of the year. 2018’s conference isn’t until December 11th, but, in case you missed it, we’ve put together the top speeches from last year’s event for you to enjoy.

Kelsey Hightower

Perhaps the funniest speaker in the cloud community, Kelsey Hightower did not disappoint at KubeCon. His charisma and wittiness was the perfect way to start the conference.

“Kelsey Hightower has worn every hat possible throughout his career in tech and enjoys leadership roles focused on making things happen and shipping software. Kelsey is a strong open source advocate focused on building simple tools that make people smile. When he is not slinging Go code, you can catch him giving technical workshops covering everything from programming to system administration.”

Dianne Marsh

Netflix has been one of the greatest success stories for DevOps. They’re also one of the biggest advocators. Director of engineering at Netflix, Dianne Marsh, was one of the featured speakers at 2017’s KubeCon! She goes over various aspects of Netflix culture, which is incredibly interesting.

She also discusses Spinnaker, Netflix’s “open source, multi-cloud continuous delivery and infrastructure management platform for releasing software changes with high velocity and confidence.”

Chen Goldberg

Undoubtedly one of my favorite minds in the container industry. Chen Goldberg’s speech included Kubernetes engineer Anthony Yeh demonstrating his award-winning project.

“Chen Goldberg is a technology leader with +18 years of experience leading engineering teams. In her current role as Engineering Director, she leads Google Container Engine (GKE) and the OSS Kubernetes project engineering team in Google Cloud. Her team is the largest team working on Kubernetes today and is committed to Kubernetes success and enabling open cloud.”
