Backup and recovery solution provider, Commvault, recently announced that its IntelliSnap snapshot platform has been tested and confirmed to work with Cisco HyperFlex hyperconverged systems as a means to protect file systems, application workloads, and virtual machines without the use of third-party tools. The aim of this solution is to provide users with flexible architecture options.

ScaleProtect with Cisco UCS expands on the capabilities of the Cisco HyperFlex solution with backup and recovery. ScaleProtect provides support for enterprise applications such as SAP HANA, while enabling users to run mission-critical applications on Cisco HyperFlex. The combination of ScaleProtect and Cisco HyperFlex offers a hyper-converged, scale-out platform which provides backup and recovery protection of software-defined data center.
