Acronis recently announced the acquisition of CyberLynx, a leading Israel-based cyber-security consultancy firm with a presence in the UK, Switzerland, and Luxembourg. This acquisition is Acronis’ third in the past year, continuing the provider’s accelerated growth plan. CyberLynx offers security audits, penetration testing, and proprietary training solutions. By acquiring these capabilities, Acronis will advance its goal of delivering cyber protection to enterprises around the world.
Acronis offers backup, disaster recovery, and secure file sync and share solutions. The company also provides data protection in any environment, including virtual, physical, cloud, and mobile. Acronis Cyber Backup is aimed towards businesses of all sizes and offers proactive ransomware protection. Recently, Acronis acquired 5nine Software and released Acronis Cyber Protect Though remote management of the solution requires some manual configuration and monitoring, the interface is intuitive and easy to use.
Acronis will integrate CyberLynx’s services into its suite of Acronis Security Services, expanding the training and solutions available to increase an organization’s security capabilities. Utilizing CyberLynx’s expertise in threat simulation and analysis, Acronis can more easily assist managed service providers (MSPs) and managed security service providers (MSSPs) as they protect their clients and serve as the “last line of defense” against evolving threats.
In a press statement, Serguei “SB” Beloussov, Founder and CEO of Acronis, said, “adding CyberLynx to our portfolio helps Acronis provide security evaluations services to our partners, empowering them to improve their clients’ protection. Working with our security team and global network of Cyber Protection Operation Centers, we will assist MSPs as they transition to MSSPs delivering training in incident response, penetration testing, and forensic analysis.”
As the company continues its accelerated growth strategy, Acronis plans to consider new acquisitions that will further enhance its offerings with new technologies and features that address the Five Vectors of Cyber Protection — solving the safety, accessibility, privacy, authenticity, and security challenges that face today’s applications, data, and systems.
Founder and CEO of CyberLynx, Noam Herold added, “un advancing its vision of cyber protection, Acronis has been redefining how organizations should be thinking about data protection and cyber-security against today’s cyberthreat landscape, and we’re thrilled that the next stage of CyberLynx’s contributions will be as part of such a visionary company. Our team looks forward to collaborating with our new peers to continue strengthening the security of organizations around the world.”
