Cloud data management solution provider, Rubrik, has announced the release of the Rubrik Accelerator for Microsoft Azure in order to provide enterprise users with a single solution to manage and protect data from on-prem to Microsoft Azure. Rubrik Accelerator for Azure is an addition to the vendor’s platform for Microsoft users that offers automated data protection for Microsoft Hyper-V, instant database recoveries with SQL Live Mount, and support for physical Windows.
In a press statement, Mike Tornincasa, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Rubrik said, “every enterprise customer I speak with has cloud ambitions. However, many organizations are held back by complex legacy data management solutions that keep the cloud migration process out of reach. The Rubrik Accelerator for Microsoft Azure makes it easy for enterprises to move to a hybrid cloud model, and in turn, innovate faster, be more productive, and unlock cost-savings. Additionally, Rubrik offers customers the ability to manage their entire Microsoft investment on one platform, across on-premises and public cloud environments.”
The provider continues to align itself with Microsoft on shared go-to-market investments and technology. Rubrik also established Live Mount for SQL to bring reduced RTOs in addition to implementing cloud instantiation on Azure for “server-less” test/dev and disaster recovery. The vendor enables users to leverage the power of Microsoft with integration across Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft SQL Server, Hyper-V, Windows, Azure Data Box, and Azure Stack. Rubrik also provides support for Azure Government Cloud for users in the federal space.
Corporate Vice President of Microsoft’s US Partner Group, David Willis stated, “Rubrik shares a commitment with Microsoft to drive business results for our customers. Our deep collaboration with Rubrik is exciting. Together, we enable our mutual customers to accelerate their digital transformation with Azure and deliver for their customers.”
