Constant Contact recently announced that it had completed its acquisition of SharpSpring. Initially announced in June 2021, the all-cash transaction is evaluated at approximately $240 million and was approved by SharpSpring’s stakeholders on August 25th. SharpSpring will help Constant Contact expand its CRM capabilities with expanded marketing automation tools.
Constant Contact is an online marketing company that works with small businesses, nonprofits, and individuals across various industries by providing them with the marketing tools they need to build their brand, attract customers, and improve their online business. Other features offered include e-commerce marketing, marketing automation, website builder, social media marketing, SEO, contact list management, email marketing, and more.
With the acquisition of SharpSpring, Constant Contact is expanding its CRM and marketing automation capabilities. These enhancements will help Constant’s small business (SMBs) clientele easily engage with customers throughout the buying journey, deliver better marketing-driven results, improve conversions, generate leads, and drive ROI on marketing investments. Alongside the closing of the acquisition, SharpSpring will also be delisted from NASDAQ.
